Cris Barquero (Has an Apartment). About the apartment:The apartment is an incredible duplex on the first floor and garden level on Clifton between Franklin and Classon in Clinton Hill. It has a large backyard, balcony, high ceilings, in-unit washer and dryer, lots of closets, a dishwasher, and central heat and cooling. The apartment has a full bathroom on the first floor and a half bathroom on the garden level. The first floor has a large living room with plenty of sun, a fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances, a full bathroom, coat closet with top storage, laundry room, and master bedroom with a private balcony. The garden level floor has storage under the stairs, a walk in storage closet, a half bathroom, a bedroom with access to the backyard, a large office and work-out area, and extra storage closet space. The backyard comes with a table, some chairs, a BBQ pit, and some astroturf. Theres so much space to do an elevated box gardening or more. I have some basics for the kitchen (plates, utensils, pans, etc), a coffee table, and a dining table that seats 6. We would need to figure out a couch, TV, and entertainment console situation. I mostly live on the garden level. My room is downstairs, next to the backyard. I work from home in the office most days, work out in the fitness section some days, and relax in the office most nights. Your room is upstairs, on the first floor (level with the street, living room, and kitchen). Its kind of like having separate apartments where we intersect in the kitchen and occasionally the living room.Utilities not included. We would split those 50/50. About the room:Your room measures 15 by 12 feet plus a closet and a private balcony overlooking the backyard. Theres plenty of space to put a queen size bed, dresser, and table. The room faces south and gets lots of light throughout the day due to the sliding door and huge window. If you want to put your home office in the living room, thats available, too. About the neighborhood:The apartment is in Clinton Hill on the border of Bedstuy, on Clifton between Franklin and Classon. Its one block from the Classon G train and a 12 minute walk to the Franklin C train. Its surrounded by great cafes, restaurants, bars, and things to do within a short walking distance. Herbert Von King is a 13 minute walk, and less than 20 minutes from Fort Greene Park. Cmon Everybody is around the corner. Lots of vegan and vegetarian places, community gardens (that are competitive to get into, just a warning), and so many lovely things.
