Shared living/roommate for rent

Overview

The room: It is approximately 14' x 9' with a charming floor to ceiling rustic fireplace (nonactive) and can fit a queen-sized bed, dresser and bookshelf or desk. For scale, the bed in the photo is a queen and my current roommate is selling the bed and dresser, if you're interested (she's moving to the West Coast and will be missed!). The room has a large closet with substantial open storage above. You will have your own bathroom and the two of us share a third bedroom (I use it on work from home days and my roommate has been using it as a painting space). The bedroom gets beautiful natural light from two large windows, so would be great for someone with a green thumb. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apartment which allows for added privacy. The apartment: The apartment is a recently renovated, first-floor walk-up with a convenient video intercom to buzz people in and central heat and AC. The kitchen has stainless-steel appliances (dishwasher included), spacious cabinetry, exposed above counter shelving, and countertops with plenty of space if cooking is your thing. There is also a washer and dryer in the apartment. You will share a decent sized living room as well as a dining area off of the kitchen. There is a smaller third bedroom we would coordinate use of as a shared space. I have made a home here for going on three years so the shared spaces are pretty fully furnished, but if you have pieces we can talk about re-working the space to accommodate. The building: The building is three levels a seasonal breakfast taco storefront on the first level that's open Thursday-Friday mornings, we're the second floor (one-flight walk-up) and there's one apartment above us. Transportation is the 2/5 at Sterling Street or the B/Q at Prospect Park (about a 10 min walk to each). There are also several buses nearby. The neighborhood: Prospect Lefferts Gardens is very diverse, lots of children and dogs, a variety of coffee shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. We are three blocks/10-minute walk from Prospect Park at the Lincoln Road entrance, not far from the boat house and Smorgasburg. You: One human only who works outside the home or partly remote and must be able to pay rent on time. I am looking for a female-identifying roommate in similar age range and place in life who is responsible, considerate, respectful, clean and mature. No smoking or drugs. We don't have to be best friends, though I do value a sense of connection and community with the people I live with, so it would be a plus if we got along enough to watch the same things in the common spaces or have a drink occasionally. Me: Born and raised in NYC, I am a woman (she/her) in my 30s who works Monday - Friday at a nonprofit organization that builds community and creates outside of school activities for poor and underserved youth. I am in the office two or three days per week and work from home the other days. My work is something I am passionate about and I put in long hours, so when I get home I like to relax and have a glass of wine or a movie night. Overnight guests and company on occasion but I don't bring the party home. Cleanliness is important to me, so I enjoy keeping things tidy and appreciate housemates who pitch in to keep the apartment clean. I am social and friendly but also respectful of needed space. This is not just an apartment, it's a home and I like to keep it comfortable and warm, so looking for someone who appreciates that same vibe. RENTAL REQUIREMENTS Rent is $1900 per month. Utilities and internet are split and come to about $120 per month. To move in you need first month's rent plus security deposit of $1600, letter of employment or other proof of income, and a letter of reference from a former/current landlord or roommate.
