This is the property where your homesteading dreams begin! The home has been beautifully updated showcasing craftsmanship and its simple living design. Careful steps were taken to update and modernize the heating, electrical and plumbing systems while preserving the character and charm of the farmhouse feel. The first floor offers an eat-in kitchen with an open pantry and beautiful, deep cabinets topped with hand-milled, wooden countertops. The living room boasts a cozy woodstove and floor to ceiling built-in bookshelves. An additional sitting room with a large woodstove used for cooking and heating and a full bathroom with more deep cabinet space and a custom tile shower finish this level. The upstairs offers a large, loft style bedroom, a room currently used as a music room that could be an additional walk-through bedroom and an attached half bathroom. The upstairs windows are positioned on the East and West side of the house allowing for full natural light to shine through. If you like the peacefulness that this house brings, you will love what the outside adds. Start your mornings on the covered front porch, spend your afternoon in the gardens and reward yourself at the end your day on the back deck with a glass of wine. There is a timber-framed studio just off the back deck that is waiting for a creative mind. Organic, no-till gardens have been created to promote natural soil nutrients for vegetables and herbs. Fruit and nut bearing trees are scattered throughout. Additional buildings include a timber-framed, oversized barn with a loft, a large woodshed and the sweetest chicken coop. The property is 33.65 acres reaching from Dutch Neck Road to Gross Neck Road with waterfrontage on each side of the Eastern branch of the Medomak River. Although currently benefiting from tree growth, with approvals, it is possible that the other side of the property could be divided for development. This property is truly an investment into your future.
