A rare offering on Bar Island in Milbridge. Enjoy 355+ feet of deepwater frontage with its ledge outcroppings and pocket beach. Watch the Lobster Boats pull their traps, the Eagles fish and soar above, and the Seals swim, fish and play all from the privacy of your hammock and bench at water's edge or the expansive screened-in porch. The 1-acre lot provides private and peaceful living and is the last home on a private road next to a lobster pound. The home (built in 1996) went through an extensive renovation with a large light-filled addition in 2003. The 3-bedroom (with additional lofts for sleeping) 3-bath home features soaring cathedral ceilings, fabulous views, a chef's kitchen with an island and cherry countertops, a mudroom, and a laundry room. The cozy sitting room with a wood stove and the great room both access the fabulous screened-in porch. The second-floor primary suite has walk-in closets, a large bathroom, and a cozy loft for sleeping and lounging. This is a perfect home for year-round living with its heated attached garage and radiant floor heat, or you can visit seasonally and monitor the home with your cameras. This is true Downeast Maine living.... Life as it should be!!
