Own a piece of iconic Chick Hill area in Clifton, with 74 acres for hiking, camping, access to climbing, proximity to lakes, and accessibility to more remote recreation to the east, yet just minutes to Brewer and Bangor. The property was professionally, selectively harvested in 2019 to promote growth of a more mature forest and favoring more resilient species. Towering spruce and fir surround the small stream that cuts across the property, and birch, oak, and maple climb toward the summit of Little Peaked Mountain (aka little Chick Hill). The property has several flat, bench areas as it gradually rises toward the north. A gravel road on the east side of the property accesses a clearing for camping - or perhaps your dream home or camp. An abandoned road on the west side leads to a birch-filled shoulder perfect for a camp. Informal hiking trails access both Peaked and Little Peaked Mountains, with the property stretching back to include the granite south face of Little Peaked. Crystal-clear Hopkins Pond nearby offers a public boat launch. The lot faces south, perfect for catching great views - Acadia's mountains and Katahdin can be seen from the summit of Little Peaked on a clear day. From the south end of the property, enjoy golden hour views of Little Peaked.
