Orr's Island, Maine The previous owner called this her "little bit of heaven," and after more than 40 years here, the current owner still feels exactly the same way. Set in a village-style neighborhood on Orr's Island, this 2-bedroom home enjoys beautiful views across Lowell's Cove and a setting that captures so much of what makes island life special. From the enclosed porch, watch the evening light settle over the water, listen to lobster boats working across the cove, and take in the peace and quiet that has inspired poetry, music, writing and even artists painting from the yard. The cove is nearby for swimming, Back Shore is a favorite walk, and the beach, library, post office and candy store are all just a short stroll away. It is the kind of place where you can feel surrounded by the ocean without feeling isolated from the community. Over the years, this home has been a place for family, friends, quiet reflection, plenty of laughter, and more than a few good parties. It has offered comfort during difficult times and created decades of memories during the good ones. Now, after a long and meaningful chapter, this "little bit of heaven" is ready for its next owner.
