The apartment is a two bedroom, one bathroom sixth floor walk up (no elevator) with lots of open space and bamboo floors, located in a beautiful pre-war building right across the street from Greenacre Park. I've definitely made a home here and I cherish and respect my apartment more than most people so it's important that I find someone suitable to share and respect my home's energy with. The room itself is the smaller of the two but having stayed in it for a year when I first moved in, I can sincerely say it's a wonderful room to call your own. Furniture includes a firm mattress/bed frame, a large bookshelf, a lamp, and nightstand. There's also a large closet in the living room which I never use so that's included as well. Window AC included along with incredible views of the city. Wifi is included in the rent. The living room includes an HD TV with multiple streaming networks (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and Paramount Plus) and a Visio sound bar with a built in subwoofer. Just a heads up, I'm big into music and singing so you'll need to be cool with music always playing and me singing along, especially to Sade and Mariah Carey. I always love expanding my music taste so I would want someone who loves music too and we can jam and share music together. There is also an exposed brick wall and East/southeast facing windows allowing in lots of natural light. The bathroom is a very standard Manhattan bathroom also with an East facing window and can also double as a steam room as the water to the shower gets incredibly hot. The kitchen is also a very standard Manhattan kitchen with lots of storage/counter space, standard fridge, stove top, oven, and microwave (no dishwasher). There is also no trash chute on my floor so trash and recycling has to be taken down all six flights to the alley next to the building. Nearby transportation includes the E, F, and 6 lines at Lexington and 53rd Street and Grand Central is only a 10-15 minute walk away. The neighborhood includes plenty of delicious and fun restaurants/bars and the East River and Central Park within easy walking distance (10-20 minutes). There is no in unit or in building laundry but plenty of great wash and fold laundry services within a 5-10 minute walk. I have only one rule that I take extremely seriously and I will never under any circumstances allow for it to be disrespected. Shoes must be taken off in the hallway and are never allowed to walk beyond the front door, this applies to you, to me, and to any guests no matter who they are. If this could potentially be an issue for you, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere, thank you. **Full transparency** the lease renews on June 1st and the rent could potentially increase, the management company is pretty chill so I don't think we would have to worry about signing anything official anytime soon but a $1,200 security deposit would need to be paid to my departing roommate upon moving in. Though I obviously hope the rent doesn't increase, I don't know what the increase could look like, but if signing the lease together in June becomes a discussion, please just keep this in mind. Please reach out with any questions and I'll look forward to further discussion!
Hi everyone! My roommate is going to be moving in with her SO at the end of our lease so I'm on the search for someone who would like to take her place. The apartment has an in unit washer / dryer, dishwasher, wine fridge and we have rooftop access. We're a few blocks from Central Park and museum row. Right at the bottom of the building is a fantastic Italian restaurant and a wine store. We're a 3 minute walk from the 6 train and the Q is only a few blocks away. Rent for my lease renewal is $1550 ( not including wifi/ electric)

An extremely spacious bedroom with half bath is available for a one-year lease, with the option to renew for another year after that. The apartment is a 2.5-bedroom and is two floors (it's the first floor and basement of a row house). The open bedroom is the entire basement level. It's a very big room (about 21x15 feet) and comes with two full size closets and half bath (no shower). The room comes unfurnished, but I've included photos of how previous roommates had it set up, just to give you a sense of what could fit. There is a shared bathroom with a shower on the first floor. The living room has hardwood floors. The kitchen has plenty of space and new appliances (including a dishwasher!). There is a small patio and backyard behind the house that is exclusive to our apartment (we don't share it with anyone). The rent is $1600/month plus utilities. Electric/Gas/Internet is split evenly and paid monthly. Utilities are around $230-$250 per person, but can range from $175-$375, depending on the month. The landlord requires all residents to have a credit and background check - you must have good credit (700+) and proof of income. The room is for just one person - no couples. I am a quiet, easy-going woman in my late 30s. I primarily work from home, so I am around the apartment a lot. My bedroom and small office are on the first floor.I like to keep the apartment organized and clean, but I'm not obsessive about it. I am looking for someone who is responsible, reliable, and clean. No pets and no smoking/vaping/etc (Unfortunately, I have both allergies and asthma). No drugs. I don't drink, but I don't mind if you do on occasion. Female preferred. Occasional guests are fine, but no big parties or live-in significant others. I like to keep the apartment a quiet and peaceful place to live and hope to find someone friendly and laid-back who is pleasant to live with! We are right around the corner from the N/W at Broadway and a 10 minute walk to the M/R at Steinway. All the necessities are nearby: a Laundromat on the next block, several grocery stores within a few blocks, and a 24-hour greenmarket one block away. Astoria is a great neighborhood; there are a lot of families and young professionals. We're close to Broadway, a busy main street with plenty of restaurants (Greek, Italian, Japanese, Colombian, Thai, Chinese). We're about ten blocks from Steinway, a busy shopping street. It's a thirty minute walk to Astoria Park and a fifteen minute walk to Socrates Sculpture Park on the East River.
This small studio apartment, located on 113th street offers good light with windows, it is a short distance to Broadway and to Columbia & Barnard University campuses. Within the area is St. John's the divine, Columbia University, Barnard College, Manhattan School of Music, Central Park, Riverside Park, fine restaurants, cafes, outside eateries, trendy bars, and specialty stores. Transportation is very good with the subway line on 103rd St. and 110th St. stations (1/b/c) on Broadway/Central Park West and bus stations. This unit has a shared bathroom space. These visuals are from a similar apartment. New visuals are coming soon.
It's a small apartment but we have a dishwasher!
Looking for a third roommate. We have an available flex room, which is smaller than the others but you will pay quite a bit less in rent. We both are clean and work full time during regular hours. Let me know if interested
My roommate is moving out and I am looking for someone to join me in my apartment in Hell's Kitchen! Their room is quite spacious, with a built-in closet space and great views of uptown Manhattan. Rent is approximately $3,200 a month, and open to discuss how we split. Water and gas are included, but we would equally split electric and wifi each month. The building has several washer/dryer options are on multiple floors, including a gym (which you would have to pay for if you wanted a membership). The spot is about 12 minutes (if you're slow walking) to ACE lines, as well. I have lived in this location for the past two years, and really love the management and location. My hope is to renew with a new roommate, and the renewal date is June 1. Move-in would likely be in June or July, but it can be flexible - I would just have to coordinate with my building since they like to be in the loop (it's an income restricted unit). Here is the link to the property if you want to take a look: https://www.530west45.com/ If you think we would make great roommates, want to see specific pictures of our place, or have any questions, dm me on instagram @mia.alyssa.amore!
