THIS IS A SUMMER SUBLET ONLY, MIN. 1 MONTH AND MAX. 2 MONTHS **you can do any number of prorated weeks in between, i.e. 5-7 weeks** EARLIEST POSSIBLE MOVE-IN: JUNE 23 // LATEST POSSIBLE MOVE-OUT: AUGUST 23 IMPORTANT: All the roommates split monthly utilities -- wifi, electricity, and gas. I'll cover the wifi, but you would be responsible for paying your share of electricity and gas. These can vary a lot, but my share (1/3) has ranged from $50-$125 a month total for utilities (this is because AC usage is especially high in the summer). I'm happy to discuss when or how this should be paid and sorted--I'm flexible and just want to make sure everything is fair to you and to my roommates. I love my apartment!! It is in an amazing location two blocks away from Fort Greene park. I run there every other day and enjoy the offleash hours with freewheeling dogs before 9am. In the summer, people picnic there, play tennis, and enjoy the outdoor grills. We have an "open" street around the corner, which means that for 12 hours of the day, ONLY pedestrians can be on the road. This privilege, very unusual in NYC, is lovely for strolling, walking with friends, and generally having a great time outside. There are TONS of grocery and dining options around the corner and within walking distance. (In fact, we live above a noodle shop that my roommate goes to at least 2x a week). My personal favorite is the amazing Fort Greene farmers' market every Saturday. In terms of transportation, we're closest the G train (~8 min walk) and C train (~10 min walk) and tons of buses (B54, B69, B38, B62). In Brooklyn alone, it's super easy to get to DUMBO, Bed Stuy, Williamsburg, Boerum Hill and more. If you're willing to walk 12 minutes to downtown, you can catch the B R Q N D W (I do it all the time), or from the apt you can take a 5-minute bus to the A C F. (I can basically see the bus coming down the street from my window.) The apartment itself is a walk-up on the SECOND floor and very decent size for the neighborhood, with a great kitchen if you're into cooking. We have our OWN PRIVATE deck, which is HUGE amenity. There are 3 roommates myself included (all women/ non binary folks), so you would be living with 2 other people. We are 24-26 yrs old. Both my roommates are super wonderful and considerate and CLEAN. They are very understanding and flexible about most things, reasonable about schedules, guests, etc. and are really great about communicating. Since we do all share a bathroom, we do chores weekly, and this is something we'd ask you to help out with. My room is at the front of the apartment, so you can come and go as you please with maximal privacy. For some odd (but great) reason, it has two closets--I would be storing my stuff in the smaller one and under the bed, and you would have full reign of the larger one and my desk. I will be leaving all my furniture (bed, desk, chair, mirrors), so this room is fully furnished. The room has a double AC/ heat unit that works well and is remote-controlled--this is true for all rooms in the apartment, so you can always choose your own temperature. Diggz made all my pics grainy AF, but if you're interested, reach out so we can set up a video call and you can see the apartment. You're lucky to spend the summer in the best neighborhood in Brooklyn!
Hello! I'm looking for a roommate to join me in my beachfront property in Arverne, New York. I work pretty long hours as an executive assistant/marketing manager. Two days a week I WFH. When I'm not working, I love staying active, cooking a good meal and traveling. I do enjoy time cozying up with a good book or Netflix show at home. I have two rescue cats who would be more than happy to get pets from you if you are willing. If not, aok as well! The apartment actually has three bedrooms. If having two bedrooms to yourself interests you, we could likely work that out. I love this apartment and I have put a lot into it to make it a serene, peaceful place. I think you will love it as well. Your bedroom currently has a bed and 2 nightstands, if you don't need or want this, I can remove it. Additionally if you like to Peloton, I am happy to share! I am looking for a kind roommate, maybe we can end up being great friends...My home will be your home. This is not just a room for rent. The apartment comes with private street parking and a parking sticker. There is always plenty available and maybe a 90 second walk. When loading and unloading, the driveway is available. Additionally the A train in located about 5 minutes away by foot. Did I mention the apartment is ocean front and has a backyard?
