~~TLDR~~ May 1 move in (April also available for sublet), $1475/mo rent, 1 year lease, unfurnished room, near kingston-throop C train ~~More info~~ I'm looking for someone to renew my lease with for May 1st, and the lease signing would need to happen 30 days in advance, so by end of March. And the lease would be for 1 year. There's a possibility that the room will be available for sublet in April as well. About the place: - Rent is $1475/mo + about $100/mo on average for wifi + utilities, which varies seasonally because we pay for heating and cooling - Location is a 10 min walk from the kingston-throop C train, 16 min walk from the Kingston 2/3/4 trains - 4th floor walkup - Laundry in unit - Split unit heating and cooling, for room by room temperature control - Available bedroom is shown in the photos (will be unfurnished on move in, though) - 8 min walk to Brower Park, 15 min bike ride to Prospect Park Practical stuff I'm seeking in a roommate relationship: - I'm trans/non-binary and queer, and seeking somebody who would be comfortable with someone with those identities. - I'm sensitive to scents, including cooking smells, and especially meat or fish. So I'd like to find a vegetarian, and someone who doesn't use things like perfume/cologne or incense on a regular basis. And someone who's agreeable to minimizing food smells while cooking by venting the space and covering pans. - Seeking someone who's conscious of cleaning up after themselves, and down to collaborate on/ share labor for maintaining the home. - I like to have a home where nudity is normalized in common areas. I'm not naked all the time by any means - usually walking from the shower back to my room, or walking around without a shirt when it's hot. But I like having a home culture where that's comfortable for everyone. What I desire in a roommate relationship: One ingredient I've learned is important to me in a home is having a friendly, comfortable relationship, and an open line of communication with housemates. And the ability to be myself with them. I'd like to build a roommate relationship that's mutually supportive, where we have regular check-ins, co-create processes and agreements that meet our respective and collective needs, collaborate to resolve friction, and freely share our needs and desires. I'd also love to develop a relationship where we enjoy having conversation and hanging out sometimes - I enjoy having organic social time with roommates and visitors at home, and also having times when I am alone and/ or it's quiet. Practical note: I will be traveling for 2 out of the first 3.5 months of the lease to take advantage of a timely and unique opportunity, and I'll be home for a couple of stretches in the middle of that, and then will be back full time after that. Please include the word "bubbles" in your response to indicate that you read this :) If this might be a good fit for you, I'd love to chat and get to know you and talk through our compatibility and any questions either of us has. Thanks for reading!

Hello! I'm looking for a roommate to join me in my beachfront property in Arverne, New York. I work pretty long hours as an executive assistant/marketing manager. Two days a week I WFH. When I'm not working, I love staying active, cooking a good meal and traveling. I do enjoy time cozying up with a good book or Netflix show at home. I have two rescue cats who would be more than happy to get pets from you if you are willing. If not, aok as well! The apartment actually has three bedrooms. If having two bedrooms to yourself interests you, we could likely work that out. I love this apartment and I have put a lot into it to make it a serene, peaceful place. I think you will love it as well. Your bedroom currently has a bed and 2 nightstands, if you don't need or want this, I can remove it. Additionally if you like to Peloton, I am happy to share! I am looking for a kind roommate, maybe we can end up being great friends...My home will be your home. This is not just a room for rent. The apartment comes with private street parking and a parking sticker. There is always plenty available and maybe a 90 second walk. When loading and unloading, the driveway is available. Additionally the A train in located about 5 minutes away by foot. Did I mention the apartment is ocean front and has a backyard?

Seeking a roommate for the larger bedroom in a 2 BR in Astoria, Queens. The room is roughly 10' x 16' and can accommodate a queen-sized bed as well as additional furniture. It even has its own closet! Individuals only and no pets or smoking (of any kind), please. The apartment is mostly furnished with my things, though the room itself is unfurnished. We have a huge living room and kitchen with a dishwasher, plus a decent sized shared bathroom. The apartment is on the ground floor. The window faces southeast and gets a lot of light, especially in the morning. We are very close to the subway and local bus routes, so public transportation is a snap. The commute to Manhattan is usually around 35-40 minutes. Services are very close to us, but the block itself is residential and mostly quiet (it is NYC after all). Astoria is a fantastic neighborhood. Come see what all the fuss is about!
I'm looking for someone to take over my lease, ending august 1st, for the apartment I'm currently living in. It's located in greenpoint, Brooklyn, about a seven minute walk from the Nassau stop on the G line. The bedroom is very spacious, it can easily fit a queen bed along with additional furniture. As seen in the photos I've managed to fit a full bed, nightstand, dresser, desk, and vanity comfortably. The room also features bay windows and receives plenty of sunlight, and overlooks a quiet street. There are three other people living in this apartment, all of whom are kind and respectful of boundaries. The monthly rent is $1500 without utilities and the move in date is June 1st.

The apartment is a two bedroom, one bathroom sixth floor walk up (no elevator) with lots of open space and bamboo floors, located in a beautiful pre-war building right across the street from Greenacre Park. I've definitely made a home here and I cherish and respect my apartment more than most people so it's important that I find someone suitable to share and respect my home's energy with. The room itself is the smaller of the two but having stayed in it for a year when I first moved in, I can sincerely say it's a wonderful room to call your own. Furniture includes a firm mattress/bed frame, a large bookshelf, a lamp, and nightstand. There's also a large closet in the living room which I never use so that's included as well. Window AC included along with incredible views of the city. Wifi is included in the rent. The living room includes an HD TV with multiple streaming networks (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and Paramount Plus) and a Visio sound bar with a built in subwoofer. Just a heads up, I'm big into music and singing so you'll need to be cool with music always playing and me singing along, especially to Sade and Mariah Carey. I always love expanding my music taste so I would want someone who loves music too and we can jam and share music together. There is also an exposed brick wall and East/southeast facing windows allowing in lots of natural light. The bathroom is a very standard Manhattan bathroom also with an East facing window and can also double as a steam room as the water to the shower gets incredibly hot. The kitchen is also a very standard Manhattan kitchen with lots of storage/counter space, standard fridge, stove top, oven, and microwave (no dishwasher). There is also no trash chute on my floor so trash and recycling has to be taken down all six flights to the alley next to the building. Nearby transportation includes the E, F, and 6 lines at Lexington and 53rd Street and Grand Central is only a 10-15 minute walk away. The neighborhood includes plenty of delicious and fun restaurants/bars and the East River and Central Park within easy walking distance (10-20 minutes). There is no in unit or in building laundry but plenty of great wash and fold laundry services within a 5-10 minute walk. I have only one rule that I take extremely seriously and I will never under any circumstances allow for it to be disrespected. Shoes must be taken off in the hallway and are never allowed to walk beyond the front door, this applies to you, to me, and to any guests no matter who they are. If this could potentially be an issue for you, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere, thank you. **Full transparency** the lease renews on June 1st and the rent could potentially increase, the management company is pretty chill so I don't think we would have to worry about signing anything official anytime soon but a $1,200 security deposit would need to be paid to my departing roommate upon moving in. Though I obviously hope the rent doesn't increase, I don't know what the increase could look like, but if signing the lease together in June becomes a discussion, please just keep this in mind. Please reach out with any questions and I'll look forward to further discussion!
Hi everyone! My roommate is going to be moving in with her SO at the end of our lease so I'm on the search for someone who would like to take her place. The apartment has an in unit washer / dryer, dishwasher, wine fridge and we have rooftop access. We're a few blocks from Central Park and museum row. Right at the bottom of the building is a fantastic Italian restaurant and a wine store. We're a 3 minute walk from the 6 train and the Q is only a few blocks away. Rent for my lease renewal is $1550 ( not including wifi/ electric)
